AUG 1994 Small group of folks began meeting with Kelly Adkins(former pastor of Calvary BC) for in home Bible study
OCT 1994 Recognized by Tryon Evergreen Baptist Association as a new start church (mission) sponsored by First Baptist Church, Huntsville
MAR 1995 Began a clothing ministry. Church was located on Main Street across from Pet Clinic
NOV 1995 Moved to shopping strip on Highway 19 South; began giving food to needy in small, limited quantity; continued giving clothing
JUNE 1996 Jim Parrish became pastor of church
AUG 1996 Began giving groceries on a larger scale; became an agency of Houston Food Bank; opened Trinity Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry. TL&F Food Pantry later became an independent, self-supporting, non-profit organization serving the Trinity U.S. Postal area.
OCT 1996 Began feeding hot meals to needy. Soon became known as Sharing Our Unconditional Love (S.O.U.L.) Soup Kitchen.
SEPT 1998 Began working with addicts (men) to place them in faith-based rehabilitation centers
JAN 2000 Moved to Emory Street; began benevolence ministry, helping with prescriptions, utility bills, transportation to doctor, etc.
DEC 2001 Constituted as a church; filed Articles of Incorporation with the State of Texas
Spring 2003 Local judges began sending addicts to BHBC for placement in recovery programs. Some women began to request help.
NOV 2004 Moved into new facility on 4 acres of land located at 200 E Pegoda
AUG 2005 Began Third Cross Ministries, a support group for life controlling issues such as drug/alcohol, anger, etc.
MAY 2006 Leased house to renovate and open a women's ministry, House of Hope, for placing women in faith-based drug rehab centers or enrolling them in life skill classes at House of Hope.
AUG 2007 Began AWANA ministry for children
SEPT 2007 Brought OAKS Ministry under the umbrella of BHBC. OAKS Ministry, a housing ministry for ex-offenders and/or otherwise homeless, has been in operation for about 10 years by the pastor and his wife.
JAN 2008 House of Hope opened with a resident house manager, placed 4 women in residential recovery by mid-February
August 2009 Began Children and Youth Missions education program in place of AWANA program.
Winter 2009 Began Third Cross Support Group in Groveton at First Baptist Church
Spring 2010 Started second support group meeting in Groveton
May 5 2010 First Cinco de Mayo Fiesta for the community
